Can you unlock Gamora in Fortnite?

New characters are constantly coming to Fortnite, based on all sorts of popular franchises. Everyone from Batman, Rick Sanchez, and even Ariana Grande, is in the game – and today, the official Fortnite Twitter teased a new arrival. It seems like Gamora, member of the Guardians of the Galaxy, will join the battle royale phenomenon soon. We’ve got all the details on the Gamora Fortnite skin, and whether you’re able to play as Thanos’ daughter in the game.

Is there going to be a Gamora skin in Fortnite?

While developers Epic Games have yet to officially confirm it, Gamora seems to be making her way into Fortnite very soon. That’s based on this image, tweeted out by the official Fortnite account today:

The image shows Gamora’s unmistakable green skin and white costume, as she flies in the Guardians’ ship, the Milano. Of course, the tweet doesn’t explicitly state that Gamora will join Fortnite – but it seems unlikely that they’d tease her without actually making a skin.

Gamora is far from the first Marvel character to make their way into Fortnite. It all started with her father, the Mad Titan Thanos, who appeared in a limited-time mode in spring 2018 to promote the release of Avengers: Infinity War. Since then, we’ve had an array of Avengers and X-Men, including Groot, Daredevil, Wolverine, and Mystique.

In fact, Gamora is one of the last main Marvel characters to appear in Fortnite. Back in September 2020, Epic Games released a crossover promo shot, with Marvel and Fortnite characters next to each other. As discovered by Forbes, Gamora is one of the only Marvel characters in this image not to receive a skin. Therefore, it’s all lining up to come out soon.

If recent skins are anything to go by, the Gamora skin will cost 2,000 V-Bucks, or $19.99. We don’t have a concrete release date yet, but with the new Guardians of the Galaxy game releasing in October, it surely won’t be long.

In other Fortnite news, we’ve got details on how much the new Ariana Grande skin costs. Rumors also suggest there’s going to be a skin based on Polka-Dot Man from The Suicide Squad.
